LOURDES ALARCON JANUARY 28, 1955 – NOVEMBER 17, 2021 Lourdes Alarcon, the most loving mother & grandmother, passed away peacefully in the early hours of November 17th, 2021 in Glendale, Arizona. Survived by her twin daughters, Bridget Alarcon of Frisco, Texas & Brandy Alarcon (Streiff), son-in-law Cory Streiff, granddaughters Madeleine & soon to be here Lily of Celina, Texas, and her amazing family at St. Helen Church. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, the Parra’s. Lourdes worked at Centennial High School where she made lifelong friends and enjoyed working so much she rarely missed any days at work. In her free time, she loved visiting her family in Texas as often as possible, walking her favorite dogs Einstein “Gigs” and Lynn at Sahuaro Ranch, and being a part of the St. Helen community and volunteering at the church gift shop. Lourdes was a woman of faith and a pillar of the Catholic community. If you had the pleasure of spending time with Lourdes, you instantly felt how genuine, kind, and thankful she was, not only for life, but everyone she met. To describe Lourdes, she was one of those people that wanted to always help others out of the kindness of her heart and expected nothing in return; she was one of those rare people you meet once in a lifetime. Our hearts ache to lose such a loveable mother, grandmother, and best friend, but we are at peace knowing she is now with God. We miss you every day, forever in our hearts, until we meet again. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for our Beloved Lourdes will take place on Monday, December 6th at St. Helen Roman Catholic Parish - 5510 W. Cholla St, Glendale, AZ 85304. A rosary will be held at 9:30am and the Service will then start at 10:00am.
