Robert was known for his love of country music and collected numerous records. He graduated high school to start his career with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) at age 17. Robert always welcomed people into his home as family and gave sincerely from his heart expecting nothing in return. His selfless nature and devotion to God, family, and others guided him and touched the lives of many around him. During Robert’s retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his family and went out of his way to help those he knew and loved. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife to Charlestown Races in West Virginia and took a particular interest in vacationing around the Caribbean on a cruise ship. Robert was a platinum member with Carnival Cruise Lines and adamantly looked forward to his time aboard. Robert was a die hard baseball fan and while at home could be found in his favorite spot on the couch cheering on the Washington Nationals. He attended numerous Nationals games and was proud to be present at the World Series Parade when the Nationals brought home the Commissioner's Trophy. Robert was full of joy and his contagious personality was sure to put a smile on whoever he was with.
