<p>Pacific Thomas Giordano, 94, of Orange, CT, beloved husband of the late Marie (Cardascio) Giordano, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 18, 2021. He and his loving wife would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this year. He was the youngest of four children, all of whom predeceased him. He was born to the late Pacifico Giordano and Mary Grillo on December 11, 1926, in West Haven, CT.</p> <p>Pacific was a devoted father and grandfather to his children Linda, Debby, and Arlene (Jim) and grandchildren Thomas Bowles, Ryan Bowles, Lindsay Hillas, Jamie Hillas, and Alec Hillas. He is the brother-in-law of Frank Cardascio, Lorraine Cardascio, the late Joan Cardascio, and Eleanor Onofrio (John). He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Pacific was a WWII veteran stationed in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Marie, in 1946. He built his family home in Orange and lived there for 62 years. His love of cars, especially American-built, led him to start a Chrysler Dealership, which he eventually sold when he retired (though he later unretired several times and pursued other interests). Pacific was always a man of many talents, but his family came first. He was an artist, had many exhibits, and did private commissioned portrait work. He loved woodworking, photography, gardening, golfing, chess, modern technologies, Friday night pinocle games, and was a coin and stamp aficionado. He had much to draw upon to teach his children and grandchildren. Pacific was also a 62-year dedicated parishioner and an usher of Holy Infant Church in Orange, CT.</p> <p>Funeral arrangements and military honors were entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. All services were private. The family wishes to thank the Orange VNA, specifically Carrie, Trisha, and Tom for helping fulfill his wishes to pass in the comfort of his own home.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in Pacific&rsquo;s name to: Holy Infant Church, 450 Road, Orange, CT 06477 (https://holyinfantorangect.weshareonline.org/).</p>
