Funeral services for Mr. Drew Thomas Nugent will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Crossroads New Life Tabernacle, Deville, with Reverends James White, Charles Viviano, Mike Deville, and Craig Stacy officiating. Interment will follow in Big Island Cemetery, Deville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Mr. Nugent, 22, of Deville, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 26, 2021, in his residence. He worked as a welder, mechanic, and carpenter. He was very skilled with his hands. He enjoyed music, hunting, and the outdoors. He was always ready to help anyone in need and was loved by everyone. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wess and Docia Nugent; and his maternal grandparents, Harless and Mary Smith. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his girlfriend, Haleigh Fore and her daughter, Adyson, of Deville; his father, Kurt Nugent, of Ball; his mother, Vivian Smith Nugent, of Deville; two step-brothers, Ryan Goleman, and his wife, Sadie, of Ball, and Landon Fowler, of Ball; two step-sisters, Destiny Powell, and her husband, Chris, of Colfax, and Haley Goleman, and her husband, Jonathan, of Boyce; three uncles, Greg Sanchez, and his wife, Karen, of Pollock, Erwin Sanchez, and his wife, Ashley, of Deville, and Carrol Smith, and his wife, Patricia, of Crossville, Tennessee; two aunts, Susan Bordelon, and her husband, Terry, of Alexandria, and Tina Bennett, and her husband, Greg, of Alexandria. A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Crossroads New Life Tabernacle, Deville, on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Pallbearers honored to serve are: James Keihl, Thomas Nugent, Ryan Goleman, Landon Fowler, Dawson Burton, Steven Strother, and Andrew Richardson.
