Garnett Marie Mabry

1925 - 2021

Garnett Marie Mabry, 96, of Grayson, KY, departed this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2021 at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY.

Marie was born on March 13, 1925 in Olive Hill, KY; the daughter of the late Isaiah and Gertrude Caudill Lykins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Paul Mabry, Sr.; a son, John Paul Mabry, Jr.; a daughter, Ruth Ann Toller; four brothers and four sisters.

She was a homemaker and a very special mother who loved her family unconditionally and taught her children good, Christian values.

Marie was a dedicated and faithful Christian for 62 years and her love for the Lord was reflected in everything she did.

She was a strong and caring woman with a kind and loving soul who loved all of God's creations and especially liked flowers and birds.

Marie attended Gregoryville Holiness Church.

Sadly left behind include three sons, Ron (Patsy) Mabry of Grayson, KY, Mike (Dee Dee) Mabry of Grayson, KY, and Mark (Dee) Mabry of Lexington, KY; two daughters, Linda (Leonard) Barnhill of Grayson, KY, and Judy and partner Alvin Armstrong of Campton, KY; eighteen grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and several great- great -grandchildren.

Although the family is deeply saddened and will miss Marie’s presence here on earth, there is great comfort in knowing she is at peace with the Lord and they will one day see her again.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 1st, at 1:00 p. m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY, ministers, Bro. Jimmy Barker and Bro. William Logan.
