Clinton Albert "Norak" Gregg Obituary

Clinton Albert "Norak" Gregg was born at Sadie Creek in Kotzebue, Alaska to Laura Gregg. He went on to boarding school in his younger years. Then he came home to Kotzebue, where he met Sarah. They dated for 2 years for practice (according to Sarah) before he asked her to marry him. Clinton and Sarah married each other on September 8, 1962. Their marriage brought them 7 children to their lives. After they married, Clinton decided to go to cooking school in California. So, he packed up Mom and Donna to move them with him to California while he attended cooking school. Then they all came back home to Kotzebue. This was through Relocation to learn a trade. Clinton was enlisted in the National Guard but he was enlisted during Peace Time so he was not deployed to war. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard. Clinton was also a member of the Lions Club in Kotzebue. The volunteer services Clinton gave while a member at Lions Club: Race Marshall for so many years. He was also Lions Club's very own Santa Claus. Clinton served Northwest Alaska in two other capacities. He was a volunteer Fireman with Kotzebue Fire Department. He served on the Arctic Search and Rescue as well. Clinton is survived by his wife Sarah S. Gregg of 59 years. He leaves behind 5 of 7 children: Eva M. Gregg, Pappas M. Gregg, Clifford D. Michael, Paul Henry, Johnny Evans, Arvid Nelson, Enoch Howarth were some of his lifelong friends. His favorite cousin was Howard Gregg. Clinton was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver and Kidney Cancer just less than 2 months. He was taken care of by his wife and his son Pappas over the last few years. He was such a good patient in his last days. He was so loving and tender towards everyone. Mom never left his side in his last days. Dad never cried out in anger or in pain. He simply accepted it was his time. His family was with him constantly in the end. Sarah was by his side when he crossed over. It was such a sacred moment to share Dad. We love you all so much...
