Harvey Dewayne Taylor McHenry, Mississippi Obituary

Harvey Dewayne Taylor

Harvey Dewayne Taylor, 65 of Ocean Springs, passed away November 26, 2021 at his home. Harvey was born on September 19, 1956 in CA, one of seven children and son to Thomas Earl, Sr. and Rosemary Ann (Jubeck) Taylor. He grew up in Southern California and loved farm animals, as his grandparents lived on a small farm. Harvey was a country boy that enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he could. He worked some odd jobs after school, including deep sea fishing, building fences and more. He found his passion in cooking and worked his way up to become a Sioux Chef. Moving to Mississippi in the late 1990s, Harvey cooked at several casinos along the coast. His hobbies included dancing to country swing music and playing the drums. He may have missed his calling in life as a comedian, as he was always able to get you laughing, taking everyday things and turning them into laughter. Harvey was a Master Mason and his blue lodge was Mojave Valley Chapter 68 in Bullhead City, AZ. He was also a member of the local lodge in Ocean Springs, as well as a Joppa Shriner. He was also the family historian, keeping up with most everything Taylor. He was a fun loving brother, father and grandfather who will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas Earl Taylor, Sr. and Rosemary Jubeck; his sister Kandy Taylor and two brothers, Thomas Earl Taylor, Jr. and Christopher Taylor. Left to carry on the laughter are: his daughter Nicole Wilson of Gulfport; siblings Rhonda (Tom) Lewis of Reno, NV, Rebecca (Donald) Craig of AZ and Raymond (Rebecca) Taylor of Roseberg, OR, and his niece who considered him her dad, Rosemary Lewis of Ocean Springs. He leaves a legacy of two grandchildren, Jeffery and Juliana Wilson, with many extended family and friends across the country. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services of McHenry is honored to serve the Taylor family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
