Robert Wayne Haden, 81, of Hattiesburg passed away on November 28, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital with his family at his side. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 3 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg. Wayne was born on February 20, 1940 in Purvis, MS to Elmer and Velma Haden. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and the owner and operator of Haden Jewelers for over fifty years. He also was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Throughout the years he enjoyed flying planes, building model airplanes, and traveling across the U.S. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend. He was very much loved and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Velma Haden. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Haden of Hattiesburg; his seven children, David Haden (Cindy) of Fort Collins, CO, Catherine Campbell of Austin, TX, Sherrae Cornett (James) of Waco, TX, Joy Boyer (Ed) of Hattiesburg, Robert Wayne Haden II (Jessie) of Hattiesburg, Jason Haden of Baton Rouge, LA, Kaitlyn Haden of Hattiesburg, and beloved nephew Wheeler Breland (Cayla) of D'Iberville, MS; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild, his three siblings, Jean Parker of Petal, Darrell Haden of Hattiesburg, and Diane Taylor of Hattiesburg; and numerous other close family members. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Mr. Haden's honor as St. Jude's was a charity that he felt called to donate to over the years.
