Jeffrey Karl Traughber, 52, of Irwin, Idaho, was called to heaven on November 27, 2021, at home with his wife by his side.

Jeff was born September 8, 1969, in Kodiak, Alaska, and raised by Ralph Traughber. He grew up in Irwin and attended school in Idaho Falls.

He moved to Great Falls, Montana, where he met and married the love of his life, best friend, and soul-mate Kelly Conley. Jeff and Kelly made their home in Irwin where Jeff grew up. Jeff and Kelly have always walked side by side and hand in hand.

Jeff worked as a masonry bricklayer for many years and did odd jobs for people. He was a hardworking man who loved his trade and loved teaching it to others.

He loved the outdoors, having bonfires, music, and cooking his favorite five meat tacos and homemade salsa for everyone to enjoy. He was an amazing husband and father who had the best hugs that made everything feel like it was going to be okay. The love for his family and friends was deep.  He had the gift of making everyone feel welcome.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, best friend and soul-mate, Kelly Traughber of Irwin, ID; daughters, Kaye (Paul) Lovett, Ashley (Taylor) Hanson, and stepdaughter Kately (Kevin) Conley; brother, David Beam; granddaughters, Holly Pierce, Breanna Pierce, Alyssa Lovett and Brynn Isanhart, whom he loved with all his heart. Jeff also loved his dogs Molly and Jesse. He was well loved by many and will be greatly missed.

His wife would like to give a big thanks to all the doctors, nurses, CNA's, and volunteers at Teton Cancer Institute, EIRMC and Mt. View/Community Hospital. While Jeff was battling cancer since 2018, each and everyone of them made his journey a lot easier. Jeff lived life to the fullest, had a positive attitude and a smile no matter what with this journey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Traughber.

Services will be held at a later date.
