<p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Tell City, Indiana</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Charles W. &ldquo;Charlie&rdquo; Edwards, 94, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>He was born in Tell City, June 15, 1927, son of Russell and Geneiva (Mueller) Edwards.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea. He was united in marriage to Wanda Lampkin on September 4, 1948.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>He was a member of Hawesville Baptist Church and had been an ordained deacon and song leader at Deer Creek Baptist Church. &nbsp;</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Charlie was the owner of Edwards Sawmill and Logging for 35 years. He later worked with Ohio Valley Company, where he retired in 1990 after five years. Charlie enjoyed playing cards, coon hunting, fishing and being with his grandkids.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Charlie is survived by his wife of 73 years, Wanda Edwards, Tell City; son, Jeff Edwards (Carolyn), Tell City; two grandchildren, Ashley Hall (David), Tell City and Nick Edwards (Amy Kleeman), Tell City and two great grandchildren, Kylee and Madison Hall.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>He was preceded in death by his parents: a daughter, Lisa Edwards; grandson, Charles Jeffrey &ldquo;C.J.&rdquo; Edwards and three brothers, Maurice, Doyle and Gene Edwards.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Funeral services will at 10:00 AM CST on Saturday, December 4, 2021&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; at Hawesville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Tell City, where there will be military graveside rites. Dr. Bill Bailey and Bro. David Hall will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-7:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and Saturday from 9:00-10:00 AM at church.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Memorial contributions may be made to Hawesville Baptist Church.</strong></span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Charles W. “Charlie” Edwards, 94, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

He was born in Tell City, June 15, 1927, son of Russell and Geneiva (Mueller) Edwards.

Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea. He was united in marriage to Wanda Lampkin on September 4, 1948.

He was a member of Hawesville Baptist Church and had been an ordained deacon and song leader at Deer Creek Baptist Church.  

Charlie was the owner of Edwards Sawmill and Logging for 35 years. He later worked with Ohio Valley Company, where he retired in 1990 after five years. Charlie enjoyed playing cards, coon hunting, fishing and being with his grandkids.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 73 years, Wanda Edwards, Tell City; son, Jeff Edwards (Carolyn), Tell City; two grandchildren, Ashley Hall (David), Tell City and Nick Edwards (Amy Kleeman), Tell City and two great grandchildren, Kylee and Madison Hall.
