NORTH KINGSTOWN,RI: Carolyn M. Ingalls passed away November 25, 2021 at the age of 83. The loving mother of Leslie Beaulieu and her husband Rick, Amy Bouman and her husband Scott, and Carrie Ceresi and an adored Nana to Jillian and Sarah Beaulieu, Connor and Emma Bouman, and Abby Ceresi. She also leaves her brother, Charles Ingalls and his wife Linda and is predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Marion (Gray) Ingalls, her sister Judy Davignon, and brother Sydney Ingalls. Born September 6, 1938 in Somerville, MA, Carolyn grew up in Bedford and East Longmeadow, MA. She graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1960, married and moved to New York City where she was a nurse and had three children. Later on, she moved and raised her family in New Jersey and then Pennsylvania. She enjoyed living in Portland, Maine for a short time and settled in Wickford, RI to be close to her family. As an active member of her community, she was a friend to everyone in her Oceanwoods neighborhood. She loved to watch and tend to her backyard birds and her garden. She was an avid reader and when she wasn’t reading, she was knitting beautiful gifts for all those she loved. Carolyn and her friends were members of Osher Lifelong Learning Program at the University of Rhode Island and enjoyed the enriching classes and lunches out together. She volunteered her time with North Kingstown’s Friends in Service to Humanity Program, and delivered meals to homebound residents for many years. Most of all, Carolyn loved spending time with her family. She was a dedicated mother and nana and embraced each moment spent with her family. To know Carolyn was to love Carolyn. Those of us who were fortunate to have her in our lives know how kind, funny, and loving she always was. She made us laugh, with her sassy sense of humor. She maintained lifelong friendships across miles and through time. Carolyn loved spending time with her family on Cape Cod, especially boat trips and bird watching on Pleasant Bay and summer trips to Maine. She will be deeply missed by all of us touched by her loving spirit. Per Carolyn’s wishes, there will be a private celebration of her life held for dear family and friends.
