Dwayne Edward Moss, 84, Kokomo, passed away at 6:00 am Monday November 29, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 14, 1937, to the late Paul and Jennette (Doer) Moss.  On October 17, 1959, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, he married Susie Stratford. 

Dwayne was a graduate of Kokomo High School and Indiana Barber College. He was a Barber for 30 years and had worked in sales for several years with Century Marketing.  He spent 8 years in the Indiana National Guard, where he was a member of the 1st 150th Field Artillery Unit of National Guards.  He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Kokomo Jaycees.  He sang in the choir at St. Patrick Church, St. Bernard Church in Wabash and St. Joan of Arc Church. He sang and performed in Civic theatre and the Follies. He was an avid reader, loved to dance, fish, watch sports and root for Purdue and his beloved Cubs. 

Dwayne is survived by his wife Susie; daughters, Laura (Bill) Levine and Mindy (Scott) Orttel; sons, Nick (Franny) Moss and Tony Moss; grandchildren, Nate (Samantha) Moss, Ari Levine, Dmitri Levine, Erin Orttel, and Kerry Orttel; nephews, Pat Moss and Chuck Irestone; and nieces, Mardi Adams and Nancy (Bob) Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Monzetta Irestone and brother, Walt Moss.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated  at 1 pm on Saturday December 4, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington St., with Fr.  Elliott Zak the celebrant.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dwayne’s memory to the Gibault Children’s Home, 6401 S.
