Darlene Marie Tuba Prince Albert, Saskatchewan Obituary

Darlene Marie Tuba

Darlene Marie Tuba September 30, 1952 ~ November 28, 2021 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie, Darlene Marie Tuba. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Darlene was a loving and caring person who would be a mother and grandmother to all of the neighborhood children, whether or not they were friends of her own children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking everything from blueberry pancakes to homemade cabbage rolls and would ensure that no one ever went away hungry. Darlene had a huge heart when it came to all of the pets that came into the house. Everyone loved the licks, licks that was included on all birthday and Christmas cards. She loved spending time at Candle Lake and was an avid fisherperson that would be able to teach even the professionals how to set the hook to ensure that the fish never got away. This was evident when she was able to bring her monster jackfish out of the ice and made sure that everyone knew it was larger than John’s. Darlene also ran the canteen at the Pines Drive-In until it closed and was a perfectionist when it came to cleaning the grill or popcorn machine. It would get close to a white glove inspection before you were able to say it was done. We would like to extend a special thank you to home care and level 4 at the hospital for the compassionate care that they gave to Darlene. “Those we love don’t go away … they walk beside us every day” As per Darlene’s request, there will be no service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
