<p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">Chase Michael Lawson of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away on November 27, 2021 at the age of 20. Chase was a 2020 graduate of South Oldham High School where he was captain of the Track &amp; Field team. He was a sophomore at the University of Kentucky majoring in neuroscience with minors in Spanish and biology. His goal was to go to medical school to become a neurologist. He spent last summer contributing to neuroscience research at UK and working as a pharmacy tech. He participated in the UK Men&rsquo;s Club Volleyball team, was in the Honors Program and was a Governor&rsquo;s Scholar. Chase enjoyed UK Sports, playing Frisbee Golf and going to Concerts. He was a member at Southeast Christian Church and actively volunteered in the preschool ministry. Chase will be remembered for his fun and outgoing personality, his unfailing loyalty and love for others, and his drive to achieve his academic goals.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">Chase is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Susan Lawson; his sisters, Chelsea (Daniel) Murphy and Haley Lawson; maternal grandparents, Don and Irene Morris; paternal grandmother, Frances Charlene Watson; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eldridge Leo Lawson Sr.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 3 &ndash; 8 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home,&nbsp;11601 Ballardsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40241. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 4th&nbsp;at 11:30 am at Southeast Christian Church, Crestwood Campus,&nbsp;6201 Crestwood Station, Crestwood, KY 40014. Visitation will also be held at the church at 10:30am for an hour prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chase&rsquo;s name to the Kentucky and Southern Indiana Stroke Association at&nbsp;https://www.strokekyin.org/donate. To honor Chase, his family has created the Chase Lawson Memorial Scholarship through Oldham County Community Scholars. Chase Michael Lawson of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away on November 27, 2021 at the age of 20. Chase was a 2020 graduate of South Oldham High School where he was captain of the Track & Field team.
