Joyce Ann Swanson, 84, of Norman passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was born November 4, 1937, in Oklahoma City, OK to Earl and Carrie Sanders. She married the love of her life Gerald Swanson on February 19,1954 in Norman, OK. She was very involved in her Bethel Baptist Church family, including checking in on the shut-ins as well as working for VBS on cookies and craft items. She loved arts and crafts including painting, Jigsaw puzzles, swimming and playing the spoons. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two daughters, Glenda Swanson, and Brenda Ritchey; her ten siblings; and her in-laws, John and Gladys Swanson. Joyce is survived by her husband Gerald; her Daughter Jodi Rhea and husband Randy; her son, John Swanson, and wife Darlene; her five grandchildren Staci McFarland and husband Ryan, Shawn Rhea and wife Sarah, Heather Krausse and husband Brian, Travis Caldwell, and Christa Ritchey; and her six great grandchildren, Ethan, Elliot, Emery, Marlie, Quade, and Ellie. Visitation for will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Tribute Memorial Care in Norman. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church in Norman with interment following at IOOF Cemetery in Norman.
