Funeral services for Earlene Y. Medlin, 85, of Monroe, LA were held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Rayville, LA with Bro. Scott Howell officiating. Interment followed in the Stevenson Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Earlene was born July 31, 1936 in Hattiesburg, MS and passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 in Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Medlin; son, Thomas Freddie Yates, Jr.; and her parents, Earl and Stella Patrick;

Survivors include her daughter, Kayla Joy Yates; daughter-in-law, Alice Yates; grandchildren, Andrew Bamburg, Jr., Summer Yates Jones, Dawn Yates Whitstine and husband, Josh, Brandon Bamburg, and Erin Yates Dove and husband, Brandon; 11-great grandchildren; siblings, Claudie Patrick, Vickie Thomas, and Ronnie Patrick; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Dylan Smith, Gage Yates, Peyton Thompson, Logan Whitstine, Dakota Anderson, and Jacob Bamburg.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Ouachita Healthcare and Rehab for taking good care of Mrs. Earlene.
