<p><strong>Mary Costigan of Harbour Main passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, November 28th, 2021 at 93 years of age.</strong></p> <p><strong>She was predeceased by husband Charles, parents Joseph and Agatha Hicks, parents-in-law John and Elizabeth Costigan, sisters Helena Sullivan, Eileen Murray, Joanne Kennedy, and brother Hubert Hicks.</strong></p> <p><strong>Mary is lovingly remembered by her nine children: Doreen Clouston (Tom), Doris Fleming (Frank), Charlie (Donna), Maureen Flynn (Wilson), Betty Conway (Rick), Cecilia Wade (Ron), Judy Pottle, June Munster (Peter) and John (Brian), 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, brother Joseph Hicks (Joan), sisters; Margaret Dalton and Teresa Doyle, brothers-in-law; Patrick Kennedy and Thomas Costigan and sister-in-law Deb Costigan, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends &nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who cared deeply for her family, was strong in her beliefs and in her faith. She took great joy in seeing and hearing stories about her great-grandchildren and loved their many visits. Her memory was sharp, her tenacity was remarkable, and she will be forever remembered by her loving family.</strong></p> <p><strong>Resting at Dunphy&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 1st from 1 - 8 pm. As per Covid-19 Restrictions, the Covid Passport and a Photo ID will be required to attend the Visitation and Mass.&nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Harbour Main on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 at 10:30 am (please arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to the service so the ushers may scan your NLVaxPass and seat you.) with interment to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Harbour Main. For those unable to attend the service will be livestreamed with the link available below.</strong></p> <p><strong>A special thank you to Dr. Russell Lake and wife Carol Ann for their exceptional care and compassion and to Dr. Morkar and his team from Internal Medicine and the incredible Nursing Staff at the Health Sciences Centre.</strong></p> <p><strong>Flowers gratefully accepted or if friends so desire, donations in Mary&rsquo;s memory may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish or the Diabetic Association.</strong></p>
