Harold “Butch” Struble Sr. May 14, 1943 – November 23, 2021 Slate Hill, NY Harold “Butch” Struble Sr. of Slate Hill went home to the Lord Tuesday, November 23, 2021. He was 78 years old. First born son of the late Clarence and Rose Ann Struble. Butch was born on May 14, 1943, in Port Jervis, New York. Butch graduated from Minisink Valley High School and proudly served 2 years in the U.S. Army. Butch worked doing Plumping, heating and A.C. work for Orange Heating, Jones Service & Appolo Heating. He was a jack of all trades who helped many. In retirement Butch worked for the Times Herald Record. Church was a very important part of Dad’s life, and he gave many years of devotion to Grace United Methodist Church of Ridgebury & Slate Hill as the handyman, cook and Trustee welcoming all who came. He enjoyed fishing when he had time and took up coloring in the last few years of his life. He took great pride in his pictures he colored and would give them out to the wonderful medical staff that helped him during his many medical visits. But most of all his family came first. He found joy with his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren who he loved with all his heart. Butch is survived by his loving wife Margy (Knibbs) Struble of 55 years. His son H. Joseph Struble Jr. of Slate Hill NY, Daughter Laura Slowik and Husband David of Greenville NY and his four wonderful Grandchildren Karly, Miles, Ethan and Cailin. Also, his siblings Dolores Liebler, Rose Mary (Paul) Capobianco, Lyn (Carol) Struble, Burton (Bertha) Struble, Ken (Annie) Struble, Tom (Debbie) Struble along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Butch was predeceased by his daughter Lori Struble and brother Bob Struble. Visitation will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church 12 Ridgebury Hill Rd, Slate Hill on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 11:30 -1, Funeral service at the church will follow immediately after with a burial of his ashes in the family plot. Zoom and Facebook information will be posted when available for those unable to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church of Ridgebury and Slate Hill.
