Kevin Daniel Hunt

KEVIN DANIEL HUNT 4/27/1964 - 11/20/2021 Kevin was born in Richmond, Virginia to Lois and Charles Hunt on April 27, 1964. He passed suddenly and unexpectedly on 11/20/2021. Kevin lived most of his youth in the Portland, OR area where he attended grade school and graduated from Centennial High School in Gresham, OR in 1982. After high school, he moved to Bethel, Alaska, and took a job as a security guard for a local hotel there. He loved the beauty and wild nature of Alaska and made many lifelong friends while residing there. He returned to Gresham in 1986 where he applied and was hired at the Beaverton School District. He worked for the Beaverton School District for over twenty years and eventually moved back to Gresham in 2012 to help care for his elderly mother. Kevin was a sharp-witted, humorous, and fun brother and uncle. He enjoyed making pottery, hiking, and spending time with family. He gave up a lot of his own time and life to spend with his ailing mother, Lois, and sacrificed much to be with her. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle to all his family and we cannot express our deep, deep sorrow at his sudden loss. We are comforted that he is in peace in heaven with our mom and Dad and many other beloved people that went before him. Rest In Peace sweet Kevin. We will love and miss you, always until we meet again. Kevin is survived by his three siblings; brother Charles Hunt Jr (Portland, OR), sister, Valorie Delmar (Aloha, OR), and brother Shawn Hunt (Tigard, OR), and numerous nieces and nephews. A joint service will be held for Kevin and his mother, Lois Hunt, on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 at the River View Cemetery chapel, 300 S Taylors Ferry Rd., Portland, OR 97219. Cards or flowers can be sent to the Mt. Scott funeral home, 4205 SE 59th Ave., Portland, OR 97206. A reception following the service will be held at the Old Spaghetti Factory on the waterfront in Portland. Address available at the service.
