Kathleen Kelly, age 66, was called home on November 26, 2021 with her husband by her side.

Kathleen was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 24, 1955 to John and Suzanne Kelly. Her Father worked as an executive with Exxon and they lived in many different locations around the world. She had a wonderful childhood growing up in a large family with 5 siblings. She met her husband, Steve McCool while attending classes at Hinds Community College in Jackson, MS.

Kathleen had a variety of occupations. She originally graduated with a degree in nutrition from the

University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She also worked as a paralegal and as an LPN . Working as an LPN was what she enjoyed doing the most . In college she competed in swimming and DJ’d at the college radio station.

Kathleen had no children, but her pets were her joy. Sheba, her Dalmatian was a companion for many years and also Max, her cat.

One of her great joys was just taking a ride and listening to music . She especially enjoyed being near the beach and enjoying the views.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her father, John William Kelly. She is survived by her mother, Suzanne Kelly ; husband, Steve McCool; her sisters, Patricia and Mimi ; and her brothers ,Toni, John , and Chris.

She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her . Kathleen will be remembered by her warm nature , her beautiful smile and fiery spirit.

A visitation will be held for Kathleen from 5:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs, 401 Holcomb Blvd. Services will begin immediately following the visitation at 6:00 P.M.
