Darwin G. "Butch" Lehman Jr

ANDERSON, IN – Darwin G. “Butch” Lehman Jr., 79, passed away in his residence on Saturday, November 27, 2021, following an extended illness. He was born on October 23, 1942, in Elwood to Darwin and Ethel (Hartley) Lehman Sr. He served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. Butch had worked for RCA, formerly of Marion for 37 years retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Frankton American Legion. All his life, Butch has been a fan of cars, their mechanics and repair. He enjoyed NASCAR and was loyal to Dale Earnhardt Sr. For several years, he and his wife enjoyed ocean cruises together. Survivors: Wife-Karen (Kelly) Lehman-married May 3, 1995 Daughter-Cyndy (Slone) Stohler-Anderson Grandchildren-Brandon Cox, Zackary Stohler and Tabitha (Michael) Mahaney Great-Grandchildren-Bryant, Olin and Emmett 2 Sisters-Leanna Roller-Tomball, Texas, Lenora (Tom) Hart-Frankton 2 Brothers-David Lehman-Frankton, Ralph Lehman-Anderson Several nieces and nephews He preceded in death by his parents, a daughter- Elizabeth (Betsy) Slone, 3 brothers-Phillip Lehman, Donald Lehman and John Lehman Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria. Public inurnment services at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria will take place on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 11 am. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Spina Bifida Association on-line at www.spinabifidaassociation.org or the Madison County Humane Society, 2219 Crystal Street, Anderson, IN 46012 or on-line at info@mchsandersonin.org. The Lehman family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Southern Care Hospice for the kindness and care extended to “Butch” and his family.
