Joseph “Joe” Ramos, 67, of Sterling passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at his home in Sterling. Visitation with the family greeting will be from 4 pm to 6 pm Thursday, Dec. 2 at Tennant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Friday, Dec. 3 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Bodzioch celebrating. Joe was born on March 4, 1954 in Sterling to John and Damiana (Guerrero) Ramos. He attended school in Crook and graduated from Sterling High School. He worked at Foxhoven Tire for 20 years and then with McAtee Paving running the paver/roller for 23 years. He married Julie Lively on January 1, 1986, but officially married, with their daughter, on November 24, 2021. Joe was a Car God, attending numerous car shows and a longtime member of the Flatlanders Car Club. He loved breakfast on the weekends with his wife and favorite staff at J&L Café. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and raising cattle and pigs. He loved his wife, daughter, son, and all of the dogs: Gizmo, Pooh Bear, Tuby, Tiny, Bear, and Maddie. Joe is survived by his wife Julie; daughter/bug Shanna Jo Stern; son Matthew Lively; brothers Bacil, Jesse, George, and Alex; sisters Vickie, Mary, and Delores; best friend Steve Lively; friends John Ellis and the crew from Simon’s; grand puppies Laci May and Riley Ann; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Damiana and John; sister-in-law Lori Lesh; in-laws Bob and Phyllis Lively.
