<p>Robert D. Brown (Brownie) of North East, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the age of 101. He was born in Punxsutawney, PA on August 25th, 1920, to Roy and Mildred Brown.</p> <p>Bob served in the US Army in the European Theatre from 1942-1945 and was a member of the Timberwolves Battalion. He worked for Hammermill Paper Company for 29 years retiring in 1985. He worked for his son Bob at Brown&rsquo;s Equipment for several years then drove a parts delivery route for NAPA for 8 years retiring again at age 89.</p> <p>He was a long-time member at the South Harborcreek Methodist Church and more recently attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in North East. Over the years he loved camping, wood working and travel and making new acquaintances and was always looking for the next Chevrolet to purchase.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his first wife Grace Priester Brown in 2012, a granddaughter, Courtney Morrison in 2014 and daughter-in-law Marilynn Brown in 2021.</p> <p>Survivors include his second wife Shirley Sparling Brown, Children, Robert C Brown. (Mary), Donald C Brown, Karen A Ahlgrim (Mark), Larry E. Brown (Donna). Grandchil- dren, Scott Brown (Martha), Diane Villa (Jeremy), Tina Muskey (Mike), Shelly Rivello (James), Alex Brown (Amy), Erin Yanosko, Heather Scott (Greg). Great grandchildren, Nicole (Albert) Cabeza, An- thony &amp; Elias Rivello, Jackson, Jacob, Grace Scott, Jameson Polanski, Robert, and Michael Wagner. Two sisters, Hazel Gaston, and Nancy Hudakay.</p> <p>Calling hours will Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with a service at 3:00 by Rev. Hutchinson at the William Elkin Funeral Home in North East, PA</p> <p>Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the charity of their choice.</p>
