Alan Brian Carpenter, 60, of Canyon, Texas went to be with his personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 24, 2021.


Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Living Water Christian Fellowship, 10100 US-60, with Shane Nease, pastor, and Rev. Mark Durham, officiating


Brian was born on December 6, 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky to Philip Gaines and Carolyn Evans Carpenter. He lived with his family in Louisville, Kentucky and Atlanta, Georgia until age seven when he moved with his family to Plainview, Texas. He attended schools in Plainview and graduated Plainview High School in 1979. While in school, Brian was active in the Boy Scout program, and in high school, he was on the varsity Bulldog football team and played in the band. He was also active in the youth program of First Baptist Church where he was a member until he moved to Moore, Oklahoma.


Brian attended Baylor University where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing. He was also an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha. Following graduation Brian became a Sales Representative with UAD/Forest Pharmaceuticals where he was employed for 25 years.


On June 11, 1994, Brian married the love of his life, Kathy Denise Durham, in Plainview, Texas. Following their marriage, they moved to Moore, Oklahoma where Brian continued his employment with Forest Pharmaceuticals and Kathy was a science teacher at Moore High School.


On December 19, 2003, Brian and Kathy became the proud parents of Carley Denise Carpenter. In 2014 Brian moved his family to Canyon, Texas to be closer to family where they have lived until his death.


Brian and his family have been active members of Living Water Christian Fellowship in Canyon during their entire residence in Canyon.


Brian was preceded in death by his father, Philip Carpenter, Jr.; his brother, Philip Carpenter, III; and his father-in-law, Bill Durham.


Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kathy of 27 years and his daughter, Carley, both of Canyon; his mother, Carolyn Carpenter of Plainview; his sister, Camille Northcutt and husband Greg of Plainview; his mother-in-law, Shirley Durham of Stratford; his sister-in-law, Michelle Miller and husband Timothy of Amarillo; brother-in-law, Mark Durham and wife Anissa, of Ness City, Kansas; and Barry Durham and wife Caroline of Itasca, Texas. Also, beloved nieces and nephews, Caroline and Carson Northcutt of Plainview; Josiah and Noelle Miller of Amarillo; Bryan, Kelly, Malachi, Benjamin and Sadie Durham of Ness City, Kansas; and Matthew Durham of Itasca, Tx.
