LONNIE D. BRAKEBILL November 27, 2021 Funeral services for Lonnie Brakebill, 34 year old Buffalo resident who was killed in a one vehicle roll over on Saturday, will be held Wednesday, December 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Don Paulson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Donations in Lonnie’s memory may be made to the Lonnie Brakebill Memorial, a Fund set up for the education of his children in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo, Wyoming. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com. Lonnie Dean Brakebill was born on April 28, 1987 in Athens, Tennessee to Ronnie and Lanta Brakebill. He grew up in Decatur, Tennessee and went to school in Athens where he graduated from Athens High School with the class of 2005. After high school he joined the U.S. Marines and served overseas. After the military he moved back to Decatur where he was a mason. In 2015 he moved to Bend, Oregon where he was a wildland firefighter. In 2018 he moved to Buffalo to work in the oilfields. He was married on April 14, 2019 in Buffalo to Hannah Kontz and they made their home in Buffalo where he continued to work in the oilfields until his death. Lonnie loved going to auctions and buying guns. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time in the Mountains. He is survived by his wife Hannah Brakebill of Buffalo; two sons, Alex Meyer Kontz of Buffalo and Riley Fairbanks of Gainesboro, Tennessee; one daughter Emily Fairbanks also of Gainesboro; and one sister Nicole Perkins and her husband Kenny of Decatur, Tennessee; his father Ronnie Brakebill of Decatur and his mother Connie Bohannon of Athens, Tennessee, and Robert Shook.
