LARRY “BUDDY” WOLFORD, 72 years of age of Hurley, VA passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at his home. Born in Hurley, VA he was the son of the late Ed and Eunice (Lee) Wolford. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Kelsa Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, retired coal truck driver, loved riding horses and liked to fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1-Sister-in-Law: Carol Wolford; 1-Great Nephew: Joseph Paul Hurley. Those left to cherish his memory include his Daughter: Donita (Shotty) Estep, Little Prater, VA; Son: Larry Wolford Jr., Hurley, VA; 2-Grandchildren: Savannah (Logan) Boyd, Little Prater, VA, Chandler Estep, Little Prater, VA; 2-Great Grandchildren: Lyla and Cam Boyd; 2-Step Daughters: Brandi Ratliff, Kimberly May; 2-Brothers: Berlin Wolford, Elza (Brenda) Wolford; 3-Sisters: Lilly Mae (Bill) Dotson, Phyllis (Loyd) Lester, Ann Wolford (Burl Ratliff). Also survived by 4-Step Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Funeral Services for LARRY “BUDDY” WOLFORD will be conducted Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Hurley and Ervin Hurley officiating with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA. Active Pallbearers will be Larry Tester, Logan Boyd, Eugene Cline, Burl Ratliff, Burlin Ratliff Jr., and Charlie Dotson. Honarary Pallbearers will be Lonzo Rife, Carl Estep and Ricky “Ware” Justus.
