Gary K. Atamian, 72, of North Providence passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. On February 1, 1949 in Providence, RI, Gary was born the son to the late Karakin “Kay” and Agnes (Emerzian) Atamian. In his short yet exuberant 72 years, Gary grew to be a caring man, husband, father and grandfather. His love will live on in his wife Lynn (McConnell) Atamian of 48 memorable years, two children: Jason Atamian of North Providence and daughter Lauren and her husband Jason Quinn of Cranston, RI; two grandsons: Camden and Colten and a brother Edward Atamian of California. Gary will be remembered as a one-of-a-kind guy. He was witty, funny and easy going. He was an art major and graduate at the Art Institute of Boston and then became owner and operator of G. Atamian Bros. Painting Company. Besides his work and jovial personality, Gary’s faith and family gave him all the provisions he needed in life. He made many memories taking his family to Bonnet Shores and Hampton Beach. He loved his children, and nothing gave him greater joy than taking on the role as “Papa” to his twin grandsons. Calling hours will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI on Monday, November 29 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Catholic Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
