Juliette Mary Mulleavey Obituary

Juliette Mary Mulleavey, 102, of Woodstock, NH, passed away November 24, 2021, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Berlin, NH on April 7, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Amelia (Martel) Lambert and Francis Lambert. Juliette grew up in Berlin, NH and was a long-time resident of the Lincoln-Woodstock area. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing, sewing and anything else where she could display her artistic talent. Later in life, you could find her at the American Legion Post #83 every Sunday, competing in the weekly cribbage tournaments. Even at the age of 102, she was still hard to beat, and will be remembered as the family champion. Juliette worked very hard to help provide for her 7 children. She worked at the Mittersill Alpine Resort, Longhorn Palace and Loon Mountain. She played piano, cooked wonderful family meals and was known for her famous lemon meringue pies. Juliette enjoyed working and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile and her bountiful energy, but most importantly as a loving and supportive mother, devoted wife, loyal friend and loving grandmother. Juliette was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Lincoln, NH and a founding charter member the American Legion Post #83 Ladies Auxiliary, in Lincoln, NH. In November of 2016, Juliette was awarded the Boston Post Cane Award for the Oldest Citizen of Woodstock, NH. Juliette was predeceased by her husband, Raymond W. Mulleavey, who died November of 1998, her son Raymond F. Mulleavey who recently passed in November 2021, her son Quinten E. Mulleavey, who is listed as Missing in Action from the Vietnam War and grandson Scott A. Mulleavey, who died in July of 2006. Juliette is survived by five of her children, sons Donald R. Mulleavey and wife Sandy of Colorado, John E. Mulleavey and Denis R. Mulleavey of Lincoln, daughters Marlene M. Murphy and husband Floyd of Hillsboro and Diane R. Tardif of Woodstock, 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. The family is blessed and grateful that the Lord allowed us to have had so many wonderful years with Juliette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Church St., Lincoln, NH on Monday, Nov. 29th, at 11am. The Rev. John Mahoney, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln.
