Mrs. Mattie M. (Robinson) Robinson, 82, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Friday evening, November 26, 2021 in the Waynesboro Hospital. Born March 22, 1939 in Mount Union, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lige and Julia Robinson. Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Mount Union High School. She and her husband of over 58 years, Edgar F. “Eddie” Robinson, were married on April 24, 1963 in Hagerstown, MD. Mrs. Robinson worked for over 20 years as an executive secretary for the Franklin County Housing Authority. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Waynesboro, where she was active with the Missionary Society at the church. She was also a member of the Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed singing, shopping and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Sterling Robinson of Chambersburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members. She was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Stacey L. Schultz and Shawnya R. Robinson; one sister, Betty Jenkins; and three brothers, Ernest Robinson, Holland Robinson and Francis Robinson. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday December 3, 2021 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Gwendolyn Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Friday afternoon, in the funeral home.
