Mr. Larry D. Howell, 75, a resident of Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA passed away Saturday morning, in the nursing home. Born September 27, 1946 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Gordon J. and Kathleen (Carbaugh) Howell. In his early life, he worked for OSI in Chambersburg, PA. He later worked as a kitchen aide at the Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro, for over 30 years. He was a member of The South Mountain Bible Church, South Mountain Fish and Game, and Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15. Larry enjoyed yard work and walking his dogs. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Katy E. Howell of Waynesboro; and one niece, Lisa Wagaman of Oklahoma. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary G. Howell; two sisters, Joan McCleary and Jean Watts; and one infant nephew, Aaron Howell. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in South Mountain Bible Church, 11275 South Mountain Road, Fayetteville, PA with Pastor Colin Morley officiating. Burial will follow in Strang’s Cemetery, South Mountain. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, in the church.
