Irene Leona Fragmin, 94, of Anmoore, WV, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. She was born at Upshur County on August 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Gabriel and Lovie Jane (Steerman) Corley. Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frady “Copey” Fragmin on May 27, 1998.

In addition to her parents and husband Irene was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Irene is survived by three children: Robert “Bob” Fragmin and wife Song of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Lou Long and husband Dave of Lake Floyd, and Virginia Stevens and husband Garry of Anmoore; one sister, Phyllis Michalski of Lorain, OH; six grandchildren: Roger Gorby Jr. (Casey), Michael Gorby (Tina), Tammy Reid (Larry), Garry Stevens II (companion Lisa Brown), Jeffrey Stevens (Alexia), and Tina Maki (Brian); numerous great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Irene attended Buckhannon-Upshur High School and was Methodist by faith. She worked at GC Murphy, Freelanders, and at the mall. She later worked as a caretaker, helping others until she was 80 years old. She loved to socialize and cook, everyone who came to visit was always welcomed with a meal and good conversation. Irene loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very active until her last two years when her health started to decline.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and home health rehab with Amedysis Hospice for all of their kindness and care during their visits. Also a special thank you to Suni Curry and Sandy Bennett for their caretaking help these last weeks.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 10am until the funeral hour at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Per the family masks are required for those attending.
