Ivan Mitchell Warren, 59, died Monday, July 31, 2017. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 2 pm in Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family request that in honor of Mitchell, that those attending the service wear casual clothing. Mr. Warren, a native of Martin County, had been a longtime resident of Stokes. He was employed in construction for most of his life, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. A good natured person, Mitchell enjoyed helping anyone in need. He is survived by his parents, Earl and Joyce Hodges Warren, of Stokes; sisters, Judy Lamm Clark, of Greenville, and Wanda Earline Shingleton and husband, Randy, of Snow Hill; brothers, Flynn Warren and Glynn Warren, of Stokes; nephews, Terry Lamm, Jr. and wife, Michelle, of Grifton,Craig Allan Lamm and wife, Samantha, of Greenville, and Bobby Earl Shingleton and wife, Jessica, of Pine Level; nieces, Karen Michelle Scull and husband, David, of Greenville, and Rebecca Lane and husband, Jeremy, of Kinston; great-nephews, Michael David Scull, Kristian Blake Vaughn, C.J. Lamm and Cayden Lee Lamm; and a great-niece, Taylor Dawn Mills.
