Glenda Sue Smith, 77 of Harts, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born November 9, 1944 in Leet, WV the daughter of the late Clarence Lambert and Christine Lambert Ferrell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her husband, Sherman Smith Jr.; her in-laws, Sherman Smith and Laura Robinson; sisters, Vivian Hensley, Nona Peyton, Pauline Lambert, and Doris (Junior) Ferrell; brothers, Tom Lambert, and Clarence Lambert; brother and sister in-laws, Rush Hensley, Faye Lambert, and Orbie Peyton.

 

Sue always loved going to auctions, flea markets, and spending time with family playing games. She was a christian and a member of Leet Church of Christ. Sue was also a founding member of the Lady Auxillary of Harts Fire Department.

Those left to cherish her memory include four son, Ray (Charolette) Smith, Scotty Smith, Gregory (Hope) Smith, and Donald (Stacy) Smith all of Harts, WV; one sister, Irene Butcher of Mansfield, OH; three brothers, Vernard Lambert of Harts, Orville “Foxy” Lambert of North Fork Big Creek, and Jake Lambert of Defiance, OH; eight grandchildren, Garron Smith, Anthony (Jessica) Smith, Justin Smith, Jacob Smith, Zachary Smith, Chloe Smith, Keith Smith, and Olivia Smith; six great-grandchildren, Gauge Smith, Bransen Lambert, Austin (Shayla) Smith, Aliyah Smith, Harper Smith, and Axel Smith; and special friends, Jerry Peyton, Marcella Smith, Brenda Dingess, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with James Thomas and Bethel Purkey officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, Monday, November 29, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
