Jacalynn A. Sorbo of Southington passed away on November 23, after a short illness. Jackie was the daughter of the late Frederick J. Sorbo Jr. and Helen (Sawczysyn) Sorbo. Jackie grew up in New Britain and was a graduate of New Britain High School and received her Associates Degree from Tunxis Community College. Jackie worked for many years in the local grocery industry. Jackie is survived by her brother Frederick J. Sorbo, III and his wife Jane of Berlin, a niece Aimee Sorbo, of Newington, her nephew Frederick J. Sorbo, IV, his wife Kirsten and their sons Declan and Carter all of Sandwich, MA. She also leaves several cousins. Jackie’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the Hartford HealthCare at Home Hospice Team, her live in caregiver Yvonne from Dedicated Companion, LLC and her friend Melody. Collectively this extraordinary group of people allowed Jackie to realize her wish to be cared for at home until her passing. In respecting Jackie’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of her family. Donations may be made in Jackie’s memory to the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut or Hartford HealthCare at Home. The Farrell Funeral Home is providing assistance to the Sorbo family at this time.
