Shirl Obituary

(Huebl) Born to Eternal Life on November 23, 2021, at age 62. Beloved wife and soul mate of Ernest C. Gordon, Adored mother of Jack (Kendra) Gordon, Treasured Grandmother of Miranda, Dillon (Alex) and Megan. Cherished sister of Linda (Vince) Tykle, David Huebl (Patty Reynolds), Patricia (Gonzalo) Rivera, Geraldine Arteaga (Orlando Perez Cabreza) and Robert Huebl. Dear sister-in-law of the late James Gordon, William Gordon (Cheryl) and Kathleen Pecard (Arnie). Beautiful daughter of the late Romy J. Huebl and Delores B. (Sweetman). Loving aunt of Nicole Olson, Jerome Huebl, Tyler Schnese, Katie Velazquez, Sara Fonseca, Veronica Reyes, Polo Macias, Fernando Arteaga, Clint Gordon, Austin and Hunter Pecard. Great Aunt of Emmalisa Olson, Dexter Olson, Jenny Velazquez, Allison Velazquez, Liam Velazquez, Ilaria Fonseca, Noeli Fonseca, Saida Fonseca, Lolo Fonseca, Elianna Reyes, Vanessa Reyes, Anayeli Reyes, Eva Reyes, Ariela Macias, Sophia Macias, Polito Macias and Angelo Macias. She is survived by many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Shirl fought cancer as she did hunger and homelessness with a confident tenacity. She demonstrated her care for others by giving her time to the causes she was most concerned for including feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless. Her career path reflected her selflessness and caring while obtaining her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Community Leadership and Development and her employment at Hunger Task Force, Harley-Davidson’s Community Outreach Foundation and Hope House of Milwaukee. Shirl was an angel among us. You were truly fortunate to have known her and doubly blessed to have had her as a relative or friend. She cared deeply for all that she knew; no one was a stranger. Shirl loved to travel with family and friends and visited many of God’s beautiful and exotic places. Celebrations and holidays of any kind were always planned meticulously and further enjoyed by just having her in attendance. She loved animals, especially her dog, George, and cat, Baby. All joked that they’d love to come back as one of Shirl’s pets. Her beautiful home and yard reflect her love of flowers (sunflowers), plants and monarch butterflies. Though her passing is a devastating loss to all of us, she was comforted knowing she would be greeted by and again see her mom, dad and all her relatives and friends that were called home to Heaven before her. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you consider a gift in Shirl’s honor to Hunger Task Force. https://www.hungertaskforce.org/donate. Memorial Visitation at the Funeral Home on FRIDAY, December 3, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additional Visitation Saturday from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
