Robert E. Kuhn
<p><br /> Robert E. Kuhn, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021<br /> at his residence.<br /> Born June 24, 1929 in Shelby County, he was the son of Riley L. Kuhn and<br /> May C. (Collins) Kuhn. He married Edna M. (Elliott) Kuhn on August 6, 1949,<br /> and she preceded him on May 23, 2019.<br /> Survivors include 5 children- Loretta Gomez of Woodstock Georgia, Janet Gray<br /> (husband Johnny) of Fairfield, David Kuhn (wife Cindy) of Shelbyville, Daryl Kuhn<br /> of Shelbyville, Tammy Gabbard (husband Steve) of Shelbyville; 4 grandchildren<br /> and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, <br /> a son Roger Kuhn, brother Donald Kuhn, and 2 sisters- Louise Meyer, and Helen Veach.<br /> Mr. Kuhn was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Shelbyville High<br /> School in 1947. He had been a self employed general construction/handyman for many<br /> years. During that time he had also been a shop teacher at the Indiana School for the Blind<br /> for 5 years. He was a member of Morristown Christian Church, a 4H leader in Hanover<br /> Township, and a volunteer for St. Margaret's Guild for 29 years.<br /> Robert enjoyed traveling, while visiting all 48 lower states- Canada and Mexico, and<br /> woodworking.<br /> Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Glenn E. George <br /> & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Fred Hickman officiating. Burial<br /> will be in Asbury Cemetery.
