Roberta Myrtle Walsh, wife of the late Glen Walsh of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the age of 79.

Born in Chatham, on June 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Vivian (Taylor) Lockerbie.  She was a Homemaker, and attended St. Andrew’s United Church, Miramichi.  She was a member of the U.C.W., and the Rae Walls/Rainbow Unit.

Roberta is survived by her daughter, Lynn Walsh of Moncton; two sons: Derrick Walsh (Janet), and Mark Walsh (Monique) both of Rothesay; three grandchildren: Mackenzie, Nicholas, and Logan; three sisters: Heather Fowlie (Rick) of Whitby, ON, Frances Fraser (Al) of Miramichi, and Ardith LeRiche (David) of Belleville, ON; one brother, Ralph Lockerbie of Miramichi; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Glen Walsh; daughter, Marlene Walsh; sister, Elaine Lockerbie; and two brothers: Kenneth, and Arthur Lockerbie.

A PUBLIC Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday, from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.  A PUBLIC funeral service was held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 188 Wellington St., Miramichi, on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11 AM, with The Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating.  Music for the service was provided by Lois McKinnon and St. Andrew's United Church Choir.  The hymns were: "Come In, Come In and Sit Down, "Here I Am, Lord", "Amazing Grace", and the recessional hymn was "How Great Thou Art".  The hymn "Where the Roses Never Fade" was sung by Al Fraser.  The lighting of the Memory Candle was by Nicholas Walsh.  The scripture readings were read by Karen Thompson, and Sally Donald.

The pallbearers were: Nicholas Walsh, Kenny Walsh, Chris Walsh, Kenny Fraser, Tom Scott, and Jason Fleiger.  Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Please be advised of Government of New Brunswick requirements for mandatory masking in all indoor public spaces, and the requirement to provide proof of FULL vaccination, as well as proof of any medical exemption, and government-issued ID for all those 12 and older upon entry for BOTH visitations and funerals.  Please consider the allocation of extra time required to register for services.
