Funeral services for Lillian Aimetta Wallace, 103, of Vandalia, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 29, 2021 at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Vandalia with pastor Kenny Haddock officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Vandalia Cemetery. Mrs. Wallace passed away at 8:15 P.M., Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Tri County Care Center in Vandalia. She was born on December 2, 1917 in Vienna, MO the daughter of Andrew and Gertie (Vaughan) Adkins. Lillian married Sherman Wallace on July 23, 1939 in St. James and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1996. Survivors include one sister; Evelyn Terwilliger of Eldon, five granddaughters; Debby Nichols of Laddonia, Rhonda Morice of Columbia, TN, Kim Wallace of Vandalia, Kathy (Tim) Merriman of New Holland, IL, and Karen VanBoening (Gary Giltner) of Vandalia, two grandsons; Rob Windland of Frankford and Rick (Sherry) Windland of Frankford, 17 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son; Gerald Wallace, one daughter; Joyce Windland, two brothers; Thurman and Melvin Adkins and two sisters; Eunice and Effie Adkins. Lillian was a lifetime area resident and a member of the South Side Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning, candy making, and sewing. Pallbearers will be Rob Windland, Rick Windland, Waylon Windland, Cameron Windland, Austyn Windland, Dakota Windland, Gabriel Merriman, and Colby Merriman.
