David Bryan Revels

<p>Today, so many people have received the gift of coming face to face with an angel. &nbsp;That angel&rsquo;s name is David Bryan Revels. On Wednesday, November 24, 2021 our Father called Bryan home. Bryan was strong and courageous in his long battle with NF2.&nbsp; During this fight, he always kept a smile on his face.&nbsp; He never met a stranger, was one of a kind, and everyone he met loved him dearly.&nbsp; Those who had the honor of meeting him knew he was selfless, always putting others before himself. &nbsp;Bryan made you feel as if you were the most important person in the world.&nbsp; To say Bryan left a massive print on the hearts of those who loved him would be an understatement; he had a lasting impact on so many in his short time on earth.&nbsp; He didn&rsquo;t lose a battle; he beat it time and time again.</p> <p>David Bryan Revels was born in the Lumbee Indian Tribe on September 20, 1976 in Pembroke, NC to Mitzie Locklear Bullard and Cecil Lane Bullard (both deceased).&nbsp; At 2 months old, he was adopted by his Uncle and Aunt, James and Justine Revels who had two other children Rene and Tammy.&nbsp; They lived in Greensboro.&nbsp; At age six, Justine married Tommy Lee and Bryan lived with them through childhood. &nbsp;Bryan always said he was lucky because he had 3 dads.</p> <p>In 1994, after graduating from Northeast Guilford High School, he made his way to Rockingham Community College where he received a 2 year associate&rsquo;s degree.&nbsp; He then attended ECPI University where he earned a Computer Science Degree.&nbsp; He became a Network Engineer for Time Warner Cable in Greensboro, NC where he worked for many years.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Bryan had a passion for people, but home is where the heart is; he loved his family.&nbsp; He enjoyed going to the beach, sitting at the pool, gathering and sharing time with friends, but Bryan loved spending time with both his parents.&nbsp; He looked forward to talking to his mom, Justine, several times a day on the phone, and fishing with his best friend, who is also his dad, Tommy.&nbsp; His greatest love was spending time with his wife, Carlina.&nbsp; He couldn&rsquo;t wait for her to come home each day.&nbsp; They would enjoy dinner, watch TV, and talk about her day at school.&nbsp; He was proud and supportive of her accomplishments, and by her side every step of the way. &nbsp;They shared a love for athletics and enjoyed traveling with friends to various sporting events.&nbsp; His sports teams were Duke Basketball, Atlanta Braves Baseball, Notre Dame Football, and Chicago Bears Football. &nbsp;</p> <p>Bryan is survived by his wife, Carlina Skipper Revels of Archdale, NC, who he loved dearly, parents, Justine and Tommy Lee of Reidsville, NC, dad, James Revels (currently in a Greensboro nursing home), sister, Rene Revels Smith (Mike) of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, sister, Tammy Revels Lawson (Dale) of Reidsville, NC, brother, Tommy Lee Jr. (Candy) of Wilmington, NC, sister, Cecilia Locklear (Julie) of Rockingham, NC, brother, Ed Locklear (Teena), sister, Natasha Locklear (Lawrence), brother, Aaron Bullard (Victoria Re&rsquo;Ashtan) all of Pembroke, NC, and grandmother, Grace Revels Locklear of Pembroke, NC.</p> <p>Revels has the Skipper family who hold him close with special memories, including his Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Elton and Marilyn Skipper of Archdale, NC, brothers-in-law, Steven Skipper and Edward Skipper of Archdale, NC, sisters-in-law, Mary Howe (Cori) of Greensboro, NC and Annie Speer (Jason) of Rural Hall, NC.</p> <p>Bryan has many Nieces and Nephews who loved him very much including Ashley English (Ashley), Kristin Carrera (Adam), Taylor Lee, Walton Lee, Ethan Locklear, Caden Locklear, Myla Grace Locklear, Jaleah Bullard, Kyleah Bullard, Michael Locklear, Elijah Skipper, Avery Skipper, Vanessa Skipper, Edward Skipper II (deceased), Harmony Speer, Michael Skipper and Rachael Skipper.</p> <p>Funeral service celebrating Bryan&#39;s life will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, November 28, 2021, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Burial will follow at Dan View Cemetery in Eden.</p> <p>The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.</p> <p>For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to the Children&#39;s Tumor Foundation, P.O.
