Joseph Tacopina Of Tinton Falls, NJ. Formerly of Staten Island and born in Brooklyn. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those he loved on November 22, 2021. Devoted son of the late Salvatore and Teresa (nee Scarpa). Beloved husband of 52 years to Marietta (nee Franceschini). Cherished father of Dr. Teresa Tacopina. Loving brother-in-law of Monsignor Philip Franceschini, Giulio Franceschini, Loretta Magrino and her husband Charles and the late Robert Franceschini. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Faithful member of the Knights of Columbus. Reposing Monday 2 to 5pm & 7 to 9pm, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1735 NJ-35 N in Middletown, NJ. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11:00am at St. James RC Church, 94 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Chapel Hill Road, Middletown, NJ. The family will accept flowers or request contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Joe's memory.
