Richard Arlington Noss Sr.
Richard Arlington Noss Sr., 78, of Shickshinny died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Born February 15, 1943 in Shickshinny, he was a son of the late Harry and Geraldine (Potoeski) Noss. He attended Northwest Area High School and was employed by Dana Springs, Berwick until it closed. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 495, Shickshinny. He was preceded in death by his brothers Arthur and Harry and his sisters Betty, Barbara, and Arline. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard Noss Jr., Shickshinny and Wade Noss and his wife Michele, Millville; a daughter, Suzie Buczek and her husband Edward, Shickshinny; 3 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and 2 brothers, Russell Noss, Sweet Valley, and Roger Noss Sr., Shickshinny. Visitation will be Monday, November 29, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with his nephew, Pastor Roger Noss Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McKendree United Methodist Church, c/o Church Office, 267 E. Main St., Nanticoke, PA 18634.
