Vivian Lucille Meek, 74, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute surrounded by her family. She was born in Brazil, Indiana on November 1, 1947 to the late Clifford Smith and Vivian (Escott) Burkett. Vivian graduated from Brazil High School in 1965  and attended classes at Indiana State University, before marrying John Meek on June 18, 1987. She worked as a Administrative Secretary for the Department of Corrections and retired in 2009. 

Vivian loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, they were her world! She enjoyed doing crafts, flowers, jewelry, and watching NASCAR especially while Dale Earnhardt was still driving. Vivian liked to travel, spending  a lot of time in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rodney Alan Green. 

Survivors include her husband, John Meek of Spencer; daughter, Sheri (Mike) Yocom of Brazil; son, David (Jodi) Green of Harmony; brother, Art (Nina) Burkett, II of Greencastle; grandchildren, Taylar, Nicolas, Emily Yocom and Jayden and Dayten Green; niece and nephew, Joel and Amber.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Cataract Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
