Delores A. Duggan Obituary

Delores A. Duggan, 84, long-time resident of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 24, 2021. She was born on March 18, 1937, in Chicago, IL and raised in Crystal Lake.

Delores was united in marriage on November 8, 1954 to James Duggan; they celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2012.

She had a long-time passion for quilting and sewing and thoroughly enjoyed giving many quilted items as gifts to family and veterans (through Wounded Warrior Project).

She was an active member of Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake and at New Life Space Coast Church in Florida, where she served in their Bible Study as well as their prayer groups.

She enjoyed wintering at her home in Titusville, Florida and loved her daily swims and water aerobics with her social group at the health club there.

Delores was a lifelong caretaker and nurturer of people of all ages throughout her life. There was nothing she enjoyed more than to selflessly take care of others, making friends and raising her grandchildren and nieces.

Delores is survived by her loving children, Keith James Duggan, Cynde Hoffman, Dan (Mattele) Duggan, and Jimmy Duggan; cherished grandchildren, Patty Duggan, Jasmine Nagel, Jared Duggan, Jefferson (Sarah) Duggan, Ben (Blair) Hoffman, Andrew Hoffman, Aaron Hoffman, Delores Duggan, and Christina (Anthony) Passintino; 15 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson and a great-great-granddaughter on the way; and by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

Visitation will be Monday, November 29, 2021, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at The Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake, 575 E Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Memorial luncheon at church will immediately follow. Burial at Windridge Memorial Park to follow the lunch.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, www.alz.org.
