Lucille Simmons Davis was born September 3, 1933 and she transitioned to eternal life on November 24, 2021. She was the second of five children to the late George Carl and Julia Walden Simmons of Robbins. She was educated in the Moore County School System. Throughout these years, Lucille held several positions in the church as she sought to be the Lord's servant. She was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Robbins, NC for more than sixty-five years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Samuel I. Davis and her son, Frederick Leon Davis.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memories; one daughter, Pamela (Ronnie) Thompson of Robbins, NC; five sons, Rev. Phillip (Dr. Gwendolyn) Davis, Sr. of Foxfire Village, NC; Anthony (Jackie) Davis of Austell, Ga; Donnell (Janet) Davis of Concord, NC; Michael Davis of Robbins, NC; and Willie Davis of Asheboro, NC. one brother Dr. Joe L. (Mary) Simmons of Jefferson City, MO; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a special niece, Dr. Julia Simmons of St. Louis, MO; a special nephew, Dr. Joel (Katie) Simmons of Silver Springs, MD, and a host of children she mentored as a teacher's assistance at Robbins Elementary School.
