<p>Mr. Natch Vincent Brocato, 86, a retired salesman, lost his battle with cancer&nbsp;on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in his home. He was born on July 6, 1935, to Vincent and Anne Brocato, in Shreveport, LA.</p> <p>After graduating&nbsp;from Fair Park High School in 1953, he signed with the Shreveport Sports Alexandria Aces Evangeline League.&nbsp;Later, Natch Brocato&nbsp;served in the United States Army. He spent many years coaching and mentoring youth boys in baseball and football. He even hit a 400 in high school baseball! He was a lover of many things including&nbsp;watching LSU Football, eating ribs, taking care of his family, and dreaming of a baseball career. Instead, he decided to return home to his sweetheart, Janet, whom he later married.</p> <p>Natch Brocato was preceded in death by his parents;&nbsp;his grandson, Roy Vincent Smith; his brothers, John, Joseph, and Charles Brocato; and his sisters, Sarah Serio and Anne Stephens.</p> <p>He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet Brocato; his children, Sharon Thomas, Steve (Lee Ann) Brocato, and Staci Christian; his grandchildren, Caitlin Carney, Hayden Christian, Tyler Brocato, Nichole (Tyler Russell) Laing, Danielle McLendon, Chrisi Smith, Martin Reynolds, and Jennifer Moses; 14 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Rose Ray and Lucille Beisel. A multitude of special friends will also be missing him, including his dog, Bo.</p> <p>Tyler Brocato, Martin Reynolds, Ron Stephens, Dawson Garland, Kale Laing,&nbsp;Tyler Russell, and Hayden Christian will serve as pallbearers.</p> <p>Memorial contributions may be made to the World Cancer Research Fund.</p>
