Tylon Orrel Mintz, 86 of Fairfield Glade, TN died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His wishes of cremation are being honored. He was born July 28, 1935 in Leland, North Carolina to the late Joseph Oliver and Viola Benton Mintz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers. He was a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. Tylon was still working with Add Vantage Casters & Material Handling of Nashville with 22 years of service. He enjoyed golf and UNC Tar Heels Sports. Survivors include wife of 65 years (Married September 7, 1956) Sarah JoAnn Parker Mintz of Fairfield Glade; sons, Randy (Teresa) Mintz of High Point, NC, Jeffrey (Lisa) Mintz of Shallotte, NC; sister, Viola Shew of Leland, NC; grandchildren: Heather (Jason) Figueroa, Katherine (Issac) Heustess, Brighton (Carrera) Mintz and Brianna Mintz (fiance, Jason Dodd); great-grandchildren: Carter and Emma Figueroa, Emery Heustess. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1873 Maco Rd. Northeast, Leland, NC 28451.
