<p>Ellen Jane Dammeyer, 93, of rural St. Marys, OH died 7:20 a.m. Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Elmwood of New Bremen.</p> <p>She was born March 10, 1928 in Hamlin, IN to Arthur and Leah (Sawyer) Marlatt.</p> <p>On June 20, 1953 in New Bremen, OH she married Lyle A. Dammeyer, who died September 8, 2009.</p> <p>Survivors include: son, Michael (Judy) Dammeyer of New Bremen, OH and daughter, Melissa (Charlie Tobin) Dammeyer of St. Marys, OH;</p> <p>3 grandchildren: Lindsay (Andrew) Roiberg, Bryan (Kendra) Dammeyer and Jason (Laura) Dammeyer;</p> <p>6 great-grandchildren: Elliot Dammeyer, Olivia Dammeyer, Kaitlyn Roiberg, Logan Roiberg, Aubrey Roiberg and Hudson Roiberg.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by: husband Lyle A. Dammeyer; parents Arthur and Leah Marlatt; sister Margo Hoffman and sister Molly Schier.</p> <p>She was a graduate of Bosse High School in Evansville, IN (Class of 1946).</p> <p>Ellen was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.</p> <p>She was a member and Sunday School teacher of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Lima, OH and its mother church in Boston, MA.</p> <p>Her favorite pastimes included golfing, playing cards, bowling and taking cruises. More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.</p> <p>Rites are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday November 29, 2021 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Services will be officiated by Reader Ann Basil.</p> <p>Burial will follow at the German protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.</p> <p>Visitation 2 - 5 p.m. on Sunday and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.</p> <p>Memorial contributions may be directed to either Grand Lake Hospice or the church.</p> <p>Condolences may be expressed and memories shared with her family via: www.millerfuneralhomes.net.</p> <p><br /> <br /> </p> <p> </p>March 10, 1928 - November 23, 202103/10/192811/23/2021
