Gerald K. Pace

Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Pace will be held Friday at 11am at Fellowship Baptist Church.

Rev. Caleb Hughes and Rev. Curt Pace will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home of Meridian has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Pace, 84, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday at his residence. He was retired as a masonry contractor. Mr. Pace loved his family dearly and enjoyed being outside. He also enjoyed deer hunting and was know for his wonderful sense of humor, playing jokes on people. He enjoyed tending to his garden and was an Ole Miss fan.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Marie; daughters Cindy Daugherty (Daryl), Beth Shannon (Jason); grandchildren Matt Daugherty (Hope), Brett Daugherty (Capri), Allison Shannon and Taylor Shannon. Mr. Pace is also survived by his great-grandchildren Davis and Max Daugherty; sister-in-law Dorothy Nell Pace and several special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Gladys Pace; siblings Dorothy Jean Pace, Kermit Pace, Delbert Pace and infant Leroy Pace.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Daugherty, Bruce Roberts, Bill Pace, Kenny Robinson, Joe Pace and Jason.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time at the church.
