Victor Serino Obituary

Victor Serino, age 68, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 18th. He was born to his loving parents, Elizabeth “Betty” Serino, and father, Roland “Vic” Serino, on October 29th, 1953.

People knew him as “Victor” or “Vic” or “Vickie,” but we all knew him as a one-of-a-kind, larger than life personality. He lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. Victor had a caring heart that saw no boundaries with his generosity and truly was a unique force in the world.

A big part of his vibrant life was Serino Roofing. Victor roofed for 50 years and did jobs up and down the East Coast during his working career. When he wasn’t burning down a roll, he loved to travel and visited places such as St. Thomas, Italy, England, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, France and Scotland. Victor took trips all across Europe and Egypt at the direction of his determined cousin, Gloria Amendola. His world travel culminated when he was Knighted with Gloria by the Knights Templar at the historic Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland.

Victor was an avid vegetarian for over 30 years who had a zest for making delicious home-cooked meals when he wasn’t eating at the best Italian restaurants in the Tri-State area. He also enjoyed a fresh wheat grass shot from his favorite store, Edge of the Woods. When he wasn’t visiting Edge of the Woods, many days started with a morning session of standing on his head, followed by home-made juice or wheat grass shot. Later in life Victor found a passion for yoga, which led him to completing teacher training and becoming a Kundalini Yoga teacher.

He will always be loved by his entire family and will be deeply missed by his many cousins, Godchildren, and other family members. In addition to family, he also leaves behind best friends for 50 years – Ralph and Stephanie Pietrosimone and Charles Trentni. His special nieces and nephews, Roxanne, Vanessa, Michael, Sharly-Ann and Charles, and 11 great nieces and nephews who adore Uncle Vic.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents as well as many beloved family members from both sides of his family.

We will remember Victor as a great family man who was always there when you needed him. We will hold our priceless memories tight as we say goodbye to an irreplaceable part of our family.
