Obituary

Ruth passed away peacefully November 16, 2021. Her career was centered around British Cars beginning in the mid-60’s. After working largely in Vancouver for British Automotive shops she opened her own shop “All British Cars” in the early 80’s. ABC provided car parts for all British makes and models throughout North America until her retirement in 2011 followed by moving to Qualicum Beach in 2014.

Selling Parts was the business but her greatest contribution was as a resource person, fountain of information as well as a patient mentor for those individuals bent on British car restoration projects not to mention the Rover Car Club of Canada of which she was instrumental in bringing to life.

Ruth leaves to grieve Marlene Sharman, her partner of 62 years, brother Don (Jean) Edmonton, sister Marie, Sundre, and Emae (Phil) Lethbridge, sister-in-law Dorothy Burgess, Champion, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by so many but whenever we think and talk of her as I know we will often it will be with a special memory and smiles.

A memorial gathering will take place later.

Those wishing to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society may do so in memory of Ruth.
